got fomo when it comes to ai and chatgpt? you should: here’s what you’re missing

… not to mention $856 per week per employee in savings.

by sandi leyva

in the 10 months that i have been teaching chatgpt, i’ve noticed about a third of my webinar participants have set up a free account with openai’s chatgpt, where they have access to chatgpt version 3.5. another third have invested a whopping $20 per month for the paid version, and the remaining third don’t have an account at all. a tiny number of participants are lucky enough to have companies that have invested in the enterprise version of the software.

cybersecurity for accountants

when it comes to cybersecurity, one risk aspect to consider is whether or not the steps you’ve taken to protect clients’ pii will stand up in court in the event of litigation related to a data breach or damages to a client because of a cybersecurity issue caused by your firm. during litigation, opposing counsel will often bring in cybersecurity experts to describe cybersecurity best practices—which are often a higher level of controls than just compliance.

it’s not just the numbers

in 2020, like many businesses, we went remote. my remote team of excellent ladies in chennai, india, had to go even more remote than they already were. when india shut down, i figured i was out of business. we promise our cybersecurity is job number one to our accounting and financial firms. we have a highly controlled work environment, except for the day care and under 3’s occasionally looking for mum. i did not think sending our employees home would work.

americans don’t have to imagine living in a nation where one in three people has rooftop solar power, 15 percent of new cars are electric, and massive batteries store energy after the sun sets.

all they need to do is visit hawaii.

microsoft moves further into nuclear development with new director

coming soon: a global plan for microsoft’s data centers to be powered by microreactors and small modular reactors.

by rick richardson

data centers are recognized for using an astonishing amount of energy. experts say they account for 1.5 percent to 2 percent of all electricity worldwide.

to become more environmentally conscious and to combat climate change, it companies have mainly concentrated on powering these through sustainable and renewable energy sources. however, the effort is becoming more difficult because of the growing energy demand brought about by introducing new technologies such as artificial intelligence because this field alone uses around four times as much power as servers use for cloud applications.
